Description

Crisis Point: Extinction – A Metroidvania Odyssey of Bullets, Blades, and Forbidden Pleasures
Anon42’s Crisis Point: Extinction isn’t your typical sci-fi adventure. Sure, you’ll blast your way through alien hordes and explore sprawling alien landscapes, but beneath the pulse-pounding action lies a story that delves into the complexities of human (and perhaps not-so-human) sexuality in a world on the brink of extinction.
Crisis Point: Extinction throws you into the combat boots of Alicia, a fierce soldier tasked with a mission of critical importance. Humanity, blinded by its eagerness to explore the cosmos, has stumbled upon a perilous secret. A virulent alien plague has infiltrated their ranks, rewriting the very fabric of human reproduction – all future generations will be born female. Facing the prospect of an all-female future, humanity’s fate hangs in the balance.
Alicia’s mission takes her to a remote alien planet, a potential haven for a cure. But this world harbors its own secrets, both beautiful and terrifying. As Alicia delves deeper into the planet’s ecosystem, she encounters a diverse cast of alien lifeforms. Some are grotesque and hostile, demanding her combat prowess. Others, however, are something entirely different – captivating beings with an allure that transcends human understanding.
Crisis Point: Extinction‘s gameplay goes beyond the typical Metroidvania formula. While mastering weapons and navigating the intricate world map are core aspects, the game introduces a unique mechanic – the “Xeno-Bond.” As Alicia interacts with certain alien creatures, particularly those with a more alluring presence, she can form temporary bonds. These bonds offer more than just companionship. They unlock hidden areas, grant temporary power boosts, and even provide a glimpse into the alien mind.
But these “Xeno-Bonds” come at a cost. The lines between survival instinct and primal desire blur as Alicia delves deeper into this alien sensuality. The pleasure derived from these encounters fuels a secondary resource bar, allowing access to powerful abilities. However, indulging too extensively weakens Alicia’s control, risking a complete surrender to this alien allure.
Crisis Point: Extinction is a provocative exploration of desire, survival, and the boundaries of human sexuality in an alien world. It’s a game that challenges your combat skills, compels strategic exploration, and throws you headfirst into a world where the line between pleasure and peril is razor-thin.
Are you ready to explore the alien world of Crisis Point: Extinction? Can you save humanity while navigating the seductive whispers of a forbidden world? Gear up, soldier, and embark on a thrilling sci-fi adventure where the fate of humanity rests on your trigger finger and your ability to resist the intoxicating allure of the unknown.

More was planned for this update, but as you all know, I’ve been going through a major mental health crisis this year. I’m finally getting to a healthy place again, slowly but surely, and next year is looking up for not just myself, but everyone in the Crisis Point team.
I’ve said it before, but despite the long wait for v0.45, this update isn’t any larger than any previous update has been. I wasn’t working for a large portion of the year thanks to my mental health issues leaving me barely able to get out of bed some days, but I felt the need to get v0.45 out and finished, even if the size of it is disappointing to some people. Honestly, after all this time there’s no possible way I could make an update big enough to make up for the long wait, so I’ve just been crunching hard the past week to get what I could out of the door, so the team can start 2022 fresh and without the weight of 8 months of expectations keeping us down. Speaking of starting fresh, let’s look forward to v0.46, shall we?
